“My husband installed a Landport box on our porch and all our packages are safely secured. Landport is a Portland based company and the owner came over when my husband was installing it to pick up the packing box it was delivered in. When you have packages delivered, on the second address line you put Landport code xxxxx and the delivery driver knows to put it in the box. They are attractive, heavy and bolted down to your porch. Our neighbors can use our address now, and know their packages are secure. This is a terrific solution
“If you order the Amazon as often as I do, you’ve probably had a few packages that got left for you in less-than-ideal places. Whether you worry about rain, package thieves or your dog in the yard (mine likes to open packages…) this is a terrific solution. I’ve had Amazon Fresh leave several grocery bags in this - even a dozen 12 packs of soda for a big party. The box bolts firmly to the underlying surface from inside – so nobody is going to just walk away with the whole thing. You can set and reset keypad combinations easily. BONUS: we’re also using it to store my son’s sports equipment when he transitions between mom and dads house. It’s a surprise use that allows us both to leave things for one another in a secure space that’s readily accessible.” - Tom S.

Great medical supply solution
“My son is medically fragile, and we have a constant flow of super expensive deliveries and shipments. We also live in the hood, which means we have a constant flow of cranksters waiting to steal packages. The little boy breaks his hearing aid constantly, because it’s inherently stupid to strap a $6000 processor to a 4 year old’s head, so we ship hearing aids back and forth to the factory at least one a month. We also get a ton of deliveries, both from normal shipping companies and our homecare medical supply company. Most families with ventilator kids are generally stuck home all the time to take deliveries, but my son is only on the vent at night, so we have places to be all day. (He’s a dwarf, and has very low-grade thoracic insufficiency issues, he’s totally cool and healthy other than the minor issue of being bad at breathing). The Landport means that I don’t have to wait home all day for supplies and/or waste my day at the hospital warehouse picking up the supplies myself.” - Jenny M.
